IMPORTANT STEP:
For phones like i870 and even i9, you must disable the 'recognize as removable disk'. In the i9, you can disable that mode, and put on 'Modem Access' in the 'Setting and Connections' menu.

The steps to unlocking are the following:

1. First, email moose@donmoose.com with your Hardware Fingerprint.Within 24-48 hours, usually instantly, you will be entered in a database.

2. Set the phone to 19200 Baud as a precaution. This can be done in Codeplug, or by powering the phone on with a SIM it won't lock up to, and changing the Baud inside of the Settings.

3. Connect phone to USB or Serial wire and make sure it is on.

4. Run the application, and Click UNLOCK.

5. Wait for the steps to finish. Once they have finished you should get a subsidy code. If the phone was tamper locked, the code might not show up as numbers, However THIS UNLOCKS BOTH REGULAR AND TAMPER LOCK SUBSIDY.

6. Click OK on the Subsidy code box. If this displayed something that was illegible or not a code, it was because the unit was tamperlocked. Make sure you do not disconnect the phone . The phone should reset itself. (FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS STEP CAN RESULT IN TAMPERLOCKED PHONES NOT UNLOCKING)

7. You are all done. Start from Step 2 to do another phone if properly authorized.
